Bugs/Enhancements addressed in 2.1.0.5 (build 2.1.66) ================================================
IZ15159 CGI Scripts cannot be registered after upgrading from 2.0 to 2.1. -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 55435) Content of $NCHOME/etc/webtop/default/system/scripts/ was not copied into $NCHOME/etc/webtop/system/scripts/
automatically. This is fixed now in script which performs additional postinstallation tasks.
IZ08701 URL http://server:port/webtop was not accessible -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 54575) This was causing various problems like for example configuring home page for individual user did not work.
Root cause of the problem was missconfigured default directory index URL for web applications which is
fixed now.
IZ07975 View jumps to 1st in AEL view list combo box when tool opens multiple new windows -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 54469) If a tool executed over multiple events were opening new AELs in new windows, view in original AEL was reseted to first available view. This was caused by inappropriate synchronization of views definitions between old AEL, new AELs and Webtop server. Problem was addressed by improving code responsible for synchronization of views with Webtop server. The same problem was also observer for filters and was also addressed in this fix.
IZ14796 Entity status requests via status servlet only ever returned from default datasource -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 55391) This caused issues with multidomain ITNM configuration where there is no central Objectserver but each domain has separate Objectserver and Webtop connects to each of them. Status in Topoviz maps was displayed from default datasource regardless of domain selected. Problem was addressed in Webtop by enhancing entity registration handling process triggered by Topoviz.
IZ07779 Menu change causes prompt tools in AEL to not load -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 54412) Bug was addressed, now immediately after editing prompt tools menu and switching back to Active Event List menu content is updated.
IZ24023 Background map color does not change under Java 1.6 installed in a browser -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 57893) This defect occurred because currently there is no check for the condition when the user creates map using no background image and some specified background color. Hence by implementing this check, the problem is avoided wherein a map created in HTML editor shows the background color correctly when opened with JDK 1.6.
IZ23055 Running WAAPI method cgi.registercgi against previously registered CGI causes java.lang.NullPointerException -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 57483) This defect occurred because one of objects of CGI manager Webtop component was not properly initialized when registering CGI tools. Problem was addressed by proper initialization of CGI subsystem.
IZ21542 Filter and View not refreshed when browsing between monitor boxes -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 56962) This defect occurred because of inconsistent way of embedding applets in HTML pages which caused problems in Java - JavaScript communication on page with filter / view builder. Problem was addressed by correcting way how applets are embedded in HTML.
IZ22106 Show lowest severity color checkbox is grayed but checked when 'Show lowest severity' parameter is disabled (should be grayed and unchecked) -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 57101) Show Lowest Color checkbox has been amended and is unchecked when unchecking Show Lowest Severity checkbox.
IZ21888 User permissions are cached after user logs out -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 57000) The problem is fixed by getting user's permission from session and setting it correctly.
IZ20991 Tomcat vulnerability CVE-2007-5333 in Webtop 2.x. -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 056776) NGF/Webtop has been updated to run against Tomcat Version 5.5.26 to get the fixes for several security vulnerabilities found in previous releases of Tomcat 5.5.
IZ23250 Buttons not displayed when adding first page to Layout tab -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 057563) Made relevant changes to the vm file so that the page is navigated to the appropriate one after adding a page through Layout Tab.
IZ23448 Webtop does not start when the http connector is set to port 80 -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 057680) Modified the relevant class file to retrieve the server port without getting StringIndexOutOfBoundsException while inputting any server port value less that 4 digit.
IZ24401 java.lang.nullpointer exception found in the ngf.log -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 058039) Made the changes in the relevant class file to prevent this message from being logged in ngf.log
NBS058916 Clicking on TBSM Service tree throws javascript error -------------------------------------------------------------
Modified the vpmessaging.js for checking the existence of object 'vpmNearestPostOffice' so that the javascript error can be prevented.
IZ23214 ngf_server stop issues a kill command -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 057547) Made changes to ngf_server script to remove the "kill -9" command introduced before issuing the shutdown command when running the 'ngf_server stop' that may lead to corruption of the ASA database.
IZ19833 Need the TBSM logon screen to be able to accept more than 16 characters. -------------------------------------------------------------
(NBS 056449) Modified the login screen to accept password of any length.
Prerequisites
This Fix Pack is a full build containing new and cumulative fixes from 2.1.0.0 GA release. This build can be installed either onto an existing 2.1 GA/Fix Pack installation, or as a stand-alone installation.
1. Extract the .tar archive if necessary. Select the correct version for your platform.
2. Install Netcool/Webtop using the installation script INSTALL:
3. Follow the onscreen prompts.
Note: Console mode is available by passing the "-console" argument to the INSTALL script.
