The IBM Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console is a light, powerful and user friendly console-based user interface that you can use to manage in a plan both the Tivoli Workload Scheduler and the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Broker scheduling objects. You can use this interface with Tivoli Workload Scheduler to: choose the plan you want to work with, create lists of the scheduling objects referenced in a plan, manage these objects in production, create event rules to specify a predefined set of actions in response to events, create tasks to customize and generate reports, which you can then view, print, and save in different formats. You can use this interface with Tivoli Dynamic Workload Broker to: define logical resources, edit job definitions, submitting and monitoring jobs in a plan.

Downloadable images

Either download the CD images for the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console individually with the information supplied on this page, or download an assembly for Tivoli Workload Scheduler that includes the main product engine, the Job Scheduling Console, the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console, and the bundled version of DB2. See the Tivoli Workload Scheduler download page.

Downloading and assembling the product

1. Download all required CD images and those optional images that you require. The images are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.

2. To download an image, note the Elmage part number, go to Passport Advantage Online, search for the download using the part number, and download the zip or tar file.

3. Unpack each of the images into the same temporary directory on your system.

4. Follow the detailed instructions in the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console Installation and Troubleshoting Guide to install the product, referencing the temporary directory as the location of the Setup file.

Available CD images to download To install the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console, version 8.4 on HP-UX you need to download the following CD images: CD Label Elmage part number IBM Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console 8.4 for HP-UX on PA-RISC C17JTML IBM Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console 8.4 for HP-UX on Itanium C17JSML These CD images contain the installation files for the Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console on HP-UX, the product license, the response file for the silent installation, and the launchpad which you use to begin the installation. IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler Quick Start Guide v8.4.0 CD C1616ML This CD image contains the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler Information Center for version 8.4 (powered by Eclipse 3.1) for all platforms. It includes any language versions of the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler publications which are available at the time of downloading. Not required if you have already downloaded it from another Tivoli Workload Schedule download page.
