Abstract
This document describes how to download and assemble IBM® Rational® Application Developer for WebSphere® Software, Version 7.0, using the Passport Advantage® Online Web site.

You can use IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software to quickly design, develop, analyze, test, profile, and deploy high-quality Web, Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), Java™, J2EE, and portal applications.

The eAssembly for Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software, Version 7.0, for Windows and Linux contains the following software:
- Rational Application Developer for WebSphere® Software, Version 7.0, for Windows and Linux
You must download all 10 parts for Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software and the Activation Kit. It is also recommended that you download the Quick Start Guide.
- Auxiliary disk (Installation Manager, Packaging Utility, and License Server (Linux only))
You should download these parts if you are deploying Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software in an enterprise environment.
- IBM Rational Agent Controller V7.0.1 Multiplatform
- WebSphere Portal, Version 6.0, for Windows and Linux
- WebSphere Portal, Version 5.1.0.1, for Windows and Linux
- Rational ClearCase® LT, Version 7.0, for Windows and Linux
- Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2 for Windows and Linux
- IBM CICS® Transaction Gateway, Version 6.0.2, for Windows and Linux
- WebSphere Application Server, Version 6.1, for Windows and Linux
Space requirements
- You will need approximately 12.1 GB of disk space to store the parts for Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software (not including the Auxiliary disk) and extract the compressed files.
- For the Auxiliary disk, you need approximately 488 MB to store the Windows file extract the compressed files. You need approximately 671 MB to store the Linux file extract the compressed files.
- To store all of the additional optional parts and to extract the compressed files - for both Window and Linux - you need approximately 33.2 GB of disk space.
To download only the additional optional parts required for Windows and extract the compressed files, you need approximately 20.4 GB of disk space.
To store all of the additional optional parts required for Linux and to extract the compressed files, you need approximately 18.5 GB of disk space.
Extracting the compressed files
Extract all compressed files into the same directory.
