Abstract

This fix pack resolves issues related to the MAXAGE parameter in WebSphere® Voice Server.

This fix pack can ONLY be installed on AIX® and Linux® systems. Refer to the readme.

This fix pack resolves the following problems:

IC49073: WebSphere Voice Server handles the cache control MAXAGE parameter in units of milliseconds rather than seconds as defined in the specification. For example, when the maximum age parameter is set to 10000, the grammar file is fetched by WebSphere Voice Server after 10 seconds instead of 10,000 seconds. This fix pack resolves the discrepancy.

IC49064: The cache control MAXAGE parameter is hardcoded to 0 in the voicetest utility. This fix pack resolves the error.

Prerequisites

Prior to installing the fix pack, make sure you meet the following requirements:

o WebSphere Voice Server 5.1.3 must be installed.
o Make sure you have root access to update the IBM® WebSphere Voice Server software.

After installing this fix pack, if you need to uninstall WebSphere Voice Server 5.1.3, uninstall this fix pack first.
