Abstract
This document describes how to download IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 using the Passport Advantage Online Web site.
 
Download Description

Lotus Sametime provides a way to chat with coworkers in real time, have online meetings that include audio and video, share files and Web pages with meeting participants, and record meetings so that other people can view them later.

Where can I get Lotus Sametime 7.5?

Lotus Sametime is available at no charge to Lotus Sametime customers with IBM Passport Advantage Web site.

Space requirements - i5/OS

  • 395 MB of disk space to store the full set of downloadable parts (you can remove these after a successful installation)
  • 690 MB (1350 MB) of disk space to install the product
  • Additional 195 MB required to run the Sametime server

Space requirements - Windows, AIX, Solaris

  • 1 GB of disk space to store the full set of downloadable parts, plus 1 GB of disk space to unpack the parts
  • 1 GB of disk space to install the product, plus 1 GB of space in the tmp directory to run the installation program
  • 2 GB required to run the Sametime server

Downloading and assembling the product

  1. Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional.
  2. Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.
  3. Follow the "Installation Instructions" (below) to install the product.

  • Solaris 9 (Sparc)
  • Solaris 10 (Sparc)
  • IBM AIX 5.2 - requires patch level 2 (5200-02)
  • IBM AIX 5.3
  • IBM i5/OS V5R3 and V5R4

Supported Client Operating Systems

  • Microsoft Windows: Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2); Windows XP Professional 64-bit (for Web Conferencing only)
  • Linux: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0; Novell Linux Desktop (NLD) 9.0
