Abstract
The IBM® Support Assistant Lite for WebSphere® Portal tool provides automatic data collection and symptom analysis support for WebSphere Portal problem determination scenarios.
The IBM Support Assistant Lite for WebSphere Portal tool (formerly known as the IBM WebSphere Portal Automated Problem Determination tool) is provided as an aid for troubleshooting WebSphere Portal. The tool focuses on automatic data collection and provides symptom analysis support for WebSphere Portal Problem Determination Scenarios. Information pertinent to a problem scenario is collected and analyzed to help identify the origin of the problem being encountered.
The IBM Support Assistant Lite for WebSphere Portal tool benefits customers by reducing the amount of time it takes to reproduce a problem with the proper Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) tracing levels set (trace levels are set automatically by the tool) and it reduces the effort required to send the appropriate diagnostic data to IBM support. In addition, the tool performs symptom analysis to help streamline the problem determination process.
ISALite version 1.2.11 provides support for WebSphere Portal and Lotus Web Content Management version 6.0.x . Additions to version 1.2.11 include new collection scripts, minor extensions, fixes to the existing collection scripts, and includes AspectJ Split-Second Scripts.
ISALite version 1.3.4 provides support for WebSphere Portal and Lotus Web Content Management version 6.1x. Additions to version 1.3.4 include new collection scripts, minor extensions, fixes to the existing collection scripts, and includes AspectJ Split-Second Scripts.
Note: Version 1.3.4 does not support installation on i5/OS at this time.
