This document contains a link to a patch that fixes a problem in IBM Lotus 1-2-3 in which Danish or German foreign language character do not paste correctly.
This document contains a link to a patch that fixes a problem in 1-2-3 R9.8 and 9.8.1 in which foreign language characters, such as the Danish "æ ø å Æ Ø Å" or German "Ü", when copied from web pages do not paste correctly into 1-2-3. NOTE: The patch does not work for all UTF-8 characters. It will work for characters that become 2-byte after UTF-8 encoding, such as "æ". It will not work for characters that become 3-byte or more after UTF-8 encoding. The fix also does not work for the Euro character.
Existing install of 1-2-3 9.8 or 9.8.1.

Unzip the file and copy the new l14html.dll file to your lotus\123 directory. 5. Reboot and relaunch 1-2-3.
