Abstract
NotesPeek presents the information in Notes databases as it is available through the Notes API.

NotesPeek was written for technical Lotus Notes/Domino® administrators who want to see a more raw view of their Notes databases than the Lotus Notes® client provides. It presents the information in Notes databases as it is available through the Notes API.

NotesPeek is based on a containment hierarchy: Notes servers have databases, databases have documents, documents have items, etc. For the most part, this containment hierarchy is that presented by the API. Selecting a line in the tree view on the left displays information about that line in the text view on the right.

NotesPeek displays almost all of the data available through the Notes API. Where data cannot be interpreted because its format is not documented, it is displayed as a hex dump.

Note: This is a beta release which was tested with Notes 6.x but has been used successfully also with Notes 7.x and 8.x.

 
Prerequisites
NotesPeek is a utility that works with Notes. Notes 6.x (or higher) must be installed to be able to use this version of NotesPeek.
 
 
Installation Instructions

1. Download NotesPeek_153.zip from the Download section of this document.
2. Run the Notespeek_ND6_beta.EXE to extract the NotesPeek executable file and readme file.
3. Copy Notespk.exe to a directory that is included in your path. Make sure the Notes executable directory is also included in your path.
    Alternative: Copy Notespk.exe to your Domino or Notes program directory.
4. Run Notespk.exe.
