Question
How do you retain access to help documentation for end-of-support (EOS) products?
Cause
At the end-of-support date, help documentation for IBM® Maximo® Asset Management 7.5.x and industry solutions 7.5.x is removed from IBM Knowledge Center.
Answer
If you wish to retain access to 7.5.x help documentation, you can use locally installed help packages.
An English help package was supplied with Maximo Asset Management 7.5.x and industry solutions 7.5.x. You can download 7.5.x translated help packages from Fix Central. You can also download a readme that explains how to deploy translated documentation. For example, the 7.5.0.0-TIV-MAMDOC-FP001 fix pack contains the translated documentation for Maximo Asset Management 7.5.0, and the 7.5.0.0-TIV-MAMDOCRDME-FP001 fix pack contains the associated readme.
In Maximo Asset Management 7.5.x, the product help links resolve to your locally installed help documentation. If you updated the system properties in your product so that the product help links resolved to help documentation on IBM Knowledge Center, you can revert your changes by completing the steps in the following procedure:
1. In the System Properties application, filter for mxe.help properties.
2. Update the system properties as outlined in the following table:

| mxe.help.host | The host name or IP address of the help system | The IP address of the application server where the help EAR file was deployed |
| mxe.help.path | The path that is inserted between the port value and the topic when the link to the help topic is constructed. | /help/ |
| mxe.help.port | The port value for the information center | 9080 (default value) |
| mxe.help.protocol | The protocol of the connection | HTTP or HTTPS |
3. Select the check box next to each property that you modified and click Live Refresh.
4. Rebuild and redeploy the Help EAR files.
