Component Pack install fails when HTTP is disabled on IBM Connections Proxy server

Technote (troubleshooting)

For secure environments that have HTTP disabled on the IBM Connections Proxy server, the Component Pack installation will fail when trying to validate the IBM Connections server.

If you used the --set_ic_host flag when running, the install will fail at the script. Otherwise the install will fail in the after you get prompted for the Connections FQHN

Component Pack install will fail with the message:
Unable to reach Connections server on ${ic_host}/homepage/orgadmin/adminapi.jsp. Please make sure host is correct and Connections is running.

IBM Connections server validation is set up over HTTP

Resolving the problem

1. Add the --skip_configure_redis argument to the list of arguments used with the script when deploying Component Pack

2. After the installation has completed, from the /opt/deployCfC directory, run the script, making sure to pass in all of the arguments used when running except --skip_configure_redis

Alternatively, you can install with --skip_configure_redis and then manually configure Redis using the steps here:
