Troubleshooting
Problem
During IBM Stewardship Center installation, you will encounter a failure when you test the connection for a data source that was created using the installation scripts. This happens if you run the scripts on an existing BPM instance where there was previously an older IBM Stewardship Center version, or where the IBM Stewardship Center installation scripts had been previously run.
Resolving The Problem
To work around this issue, there are two options:
- Before running the installation scripts:
- Open the WebSphere Application Server Integrated Solutions Console (admin console) for your BPM instance.
- Manually delete any existing J2C authentication alias and data source that was previously created for the MDM data source.
- After running the installation script and encountering a connection test failure for the MDM data source created with installation scripts:
- Open the WebSphere Application Server Integrated Solutions Console (admin console) for your BPM instance.
- Attach an existing J2C authentication alias for the MDM database to the MDM data source as an Authentication alias for XA recovery and a Component-managed authentication alias.
