BMXAA0019I - The Shift Field is Either Read Only or Part of the Primary Key. You Cannot Edit This Field.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Unable to filter non-working time from a look-up.

Diagnosing The Problem

The following steps were used to reproduce the problem:

1. Go to Administration --> Calendars --> Choose Calendar DAY --> Move to Work Periods tab

2. Click Filter --> On the Shift field --> Click on the Detail menu --> Select Non-Working time--> Click on any entry

ERROR: BMXAA0019I - The Shift field is either read only or part of the primary key. You cannot edit this field.

Resolving The Problem

This is working as designed. For several versions now we have been using Calendars as mainly containers for the work periods; non-work time is usually done
by modifying labor and crew availability. Maximo is trying to say that the field is read-only and a partial component of a primary key value.

Workaround:
You can type in your string directly into the filter heading and find non-working periods that way.
