Abstract

IBM will support IBM PureData System for Analytics Appliances, with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.x through the appliance End of Support EOS and provide critical and priority fixes for RHEL 5.11 and above

IBM, through the Extended Life Cycle Support (ELS) agreement with Red Hat, "will deliver critical-impact security fixes and selected urgent priority bug fixes for RHEL 5.x"

We will continue to provide security fixes/patches out for RHEL 5.11 and above to our customers for our following appliances through the end of support:
- IBM Netezza N1000/N1001 (TwinFin)
- IBM Netezza 100-1 (Skimmer)
- IBM Netezza High Capacity Appliance C1000 (Cruiser)
Announced End of Support Date for Cruiser Appliances is April 30, 2018 as per IBM Netezza C1000 - Software Lifecycle

End of Support date for TwinFin and Skimmer Appliances has not yet been announced. It is typically End of Marketing plus 5 years (June 2019). The actual End of Support date will be confirmed when IBM announces it, normally one year in advance.
