Failure running IHS commands gskver, gskcmd, gskcapicmd, or ikeyman in 9.0.0.1

Troubleshooting

Problem

Failure running IHS commands gskver, gskcmd, gskcapicmd, or ikeyman in 9.0.0.1

Symptom

Failure running IHS commands gskver, gskcmd, gskcapicmd, or ikeyman in 9.0.0.1 complaning about "@@SERVERROOT@@"

Cause

A defect exists in IBM HTTP Server 9.0.0.1 if recommended interim fix PI69081 is not co-installed.

Resolving The Problem

Install recommended interim fix PI69081. PI69801 is published to the IBM service repository, and the download document for PI69081 is available here:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24042769

A manual alternative to PI69081 follows. To resolve the error, run the following command from the IHS installation root:

    Windows:
      bin\postinst.exe -t update -i %cd%

    Unix:
      bin/postinst -t update -i $PWD

    z/OS:
      No action required
Note: The above workaround will leave @@JAVADIR@@ in the affected files, but the substitution of this variable is not required for normal operation.
