Problem
Navigating within ambari-console or logging in is very slow
Diagnosing The Problem
Looking in the ambari-server logs shows errors for the metrics collector.
MetricsReportPropertyProvider:223 - Error getting timeline metrics.
Can not connect to collector, socket error
Resolving The Problem
Ambari >> Ambari Metrics >> Configs >> Metrics service checkpoint delay property is set to 60 seconds by default. Increase this value to 1800 and restart Ambari
