Troubleshooting
Problem
The start up of dsmserv is failing with the message: SQL1552N The command failed because write operations for the database are suspended or are being suspended.
Symptom
ANR0162W Supplemental database diagnostic information: -1552:**No State Information Available (-2)**:-1552 (SQL1552N The command failed because write operations for the database are suspended or are being suspended.).
Cause
The database has been put into a 'write suspended' state
Resolving The Problem
In most cases, this problem can be resolved by running the 'db2 set write resume' command.
However, if it is not possible to connect to the TSMDB1 database due to the SQL1552N message, then you cannot run the command 'db2 set write resume', and must restart the database using the following DB2 command:
$ db2 restart db tsmdb1 write resume
