Diagnosing The Problem

Search for additional errors by reviewing the activity.log file. For example, in this case, the following error was logged :

SECJ0118E: Authentication error during authentication for user db2admin

Resolving The Problem

In this case, the db2admin account password was changed at the OS level but not changed with IBM Spectrum Control. Use the changepasswords tool to change the password.

In this case, this is was a single server installation where components use the same logon credentials on Windows. After running the C:\Program Files\IBM\TPC\service\changepasswords.bat tool, the problem was resolved.
