CVEID: CVE-2016-2542
DESCRIPTION: Flexera InstallShield could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by an untrusted search path. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a Trojan horse DLL in the current working directory of a setup-launcher executable file to gain elevated privileges on the system.

Workarounds and Mitigations
No workaround exists.
No installations should be performed using the setup.exe for the WebSphere eXtreme Scale .NET client, including what is delivered with WebSphere eXtreme Scale for Windows. An install.exe for the WebSphere eXtreme Scale.NET client is available with the recommended fix. This does not change what is installed, but makes the installation process itself safe from the vulnerability.
