The following is the policy that will be applied for Support
> Extension of TWS 8.5.x at Sept.2016.

> Product/Customer Unique Terms:

> The following terms will apply to this support extension. In the
> event of any contradiction, inconsistency or ambiguity between the
> terms listed below and the Statement of Work that is attached below,
> the terms below shall govern.
> This agreement is for defect support only, which includes support
> for both new and known defects.
> Support for products running on unsupported operating systems may be
> limited to technical assistance and existing fixes to known problems.
> This Support Extension does not add support for new platforms or
> operating systems that were not supported prior to the product's end
> of service (EOS) date.
> This agreement does not guarantee migration to or coexistence with
> later versions of the product which may become available after the
> end of service (EOS date of this version of the product.
> The minimum support extension term is three months. This agreement
> may be terminated upon one month's written notice to IBM.

> Embedded WAS 6.1 component :
>
> Please notice the "limitation" for the extension support policy:
>
> TWS 8.5.x embeds the WebSphere Application Server 6.1 and it is not
> possible to upgrade it stand-alone to high level
> WebSphere Application Server releases.
>
> WebSphere Application Server 6.1 uses Java 5.
Both of these Java releases
> are no longer supported and as a result there will be no further
> security fixes made available for them.
