Limitation of adding HTTP Response Headers for your Domino Web Server

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Can you add more than three response header when creating HTTP response header rule?

Cause

It is working as designed that the internet site rules in adding custom HTTP headers is limited to 3 only.

Answer

This was reported in SPR MKIN9WMUYH that is fixed in Domino 901 FixPack 6

The fix added a feature to have a new notes.ini parameter to add an http header. "HTTPAdditionalRespHeader="

A fourth header could be added in the response rule when this parameter is added in the notes.ini. Since it is a notes.ini parameter, it will be applied to all internet sites while the "3" headers set in the website rule will only take effect to a particular internet site.
This notes.ini parameter only allows adding one more response to the internet site rule which makes it possible to use four responses instead of the three which is hard-coded in the internet site rule.

Please note that a limitation on this notes.ini parameter is that it can only add one header. In summary, there is only a maximum of 4 custom header can be used for the server.
