Rich Content Widget stops working after migrating server

Technote (troubleshooting)

The Rich Content Widget stops working after you migrate IBM Connections, moving Connections to a different server. Every time a user adds the Rich Content Widget to a Community page, the widget fails and produces a timeout error similar to the following:

[04/03/16 14:04:21:771 GMT] 00000174 FfdcProvider W logIncident FFDC1003I: FFDC Incident emitted on /opt2/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/logs/ffdc/RTECluster_server1_ce9a7fc2_16.03.04_14.04.21.7524803355894418554297.txt -RE 1123

After performing a migration like this to a different server, older references to the OAuth callback URL for the RTE component are still persisted in the OAuth Provider database table. As a result, the OAuth third-legged flow cannot take place and produces a timeout error like the one above.

Resolving the problem

To resolve the problem, the system administrator can remove the "conn-rte" entry in OH2P_CLIENTCFG table, located in the HOMEPAGE database, and the restart Connections.

A fix for this problem is being planned for a future Connections 5.5 release.
