Question

Does IBM support the use of WebSphere MQ Version 8 with Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite?

Cause

IBM has received requests from customers asking to confirm if WebSphere MQ Version 8 is supported with Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite(SSFS) Version 9.4.

As stated in IBM's published system requirements guide, WebSphere MQ Version V7.5 is the currently supported version for use with Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite Version V9.4.0

Answer

IBM understands that the user community wants to use a higher version of WebSphere MQ for various reasons. In an attempt support customers well as possible, IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment team will support WebSphere MQ V8 with Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite V9.4.0. Note that this configuration has not been through IBM's Quality Assurance testing.

NOTE: During problem analysis, IBM will test the scenarios on the supported stack only. In case the issue is not replicated on the supported stack, IBM Support will try to find a resolution or work around for your specific problem if possible. However, there may be limitations and IBM reserves the right to request that customers work with the MQ support to troubleshoot the problem further.

Customers are urged to test their solution end to end functionally and for performance before rolling into production as these configurations have not been through IBM's Quality Assurance testing.
