Problem
This document discussed how to correct the problem when the old Report Studio select template dialog appears not the new Cognos Analytics authoring template dialog
Symptom
When creating a new report, the old Report Studio select template dialog appears not the new Cognos Analytics authoring template dialog.
Cause
Cognos Analytics authoring obtains templates from the Templates folder found in the root of Team Content. If this folder is missing then the old Report Studio select template dialog displays.
Resolving The Problem
The likeliest cause of this issue is that the custom install was used and the Templates content archive was not imported. The Templates content archive will have been placed into the Deployments folder during the install so all that is required is to use the Admin interface to create and run a new content import using that archive.
Note that the Templates are automatically imported by the Ready To Run install.
Alternatively, the Templates folder may have been renamed. If it has been renamed to something else, reset the name back to Templates.
