Can DB2 share the same conversion table on different platforms?
Answer
No. Conversion tables are sensitive to endian-ness, you can neither use a BE conversion table on LE platforms, nor use a LE conversion table on BE platforms.
Note:
BE - Big Endian Platform, like AIX
LE - Little Endian Platform, like Windows, Linux on AMD.
