The IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience portal is affected by a security vulnerability that might allow unauthorized access to images of charts generated by other users.

The IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience portal allows an attacker with knowledge of the internal name assigned to a chart displayed to an authorized user to retrieve the contents of the chart.

Workarounds and Mitigations

After installing the upgrade above, make the following change to the configuration file in <Tealeaf_install_directory>\Portal\Web.config:

  • Locate </> and insert the following text after </>, with the other <location path=..> nodes:
    <!-- Static file handler -->
    <location path="temp_chart">
    <add verb="*" path="*" name="TLStaticFileHandler" type="TeaLeaf.Portal.Common.TLStaticFileHandler"/>
  • Save Web.config
  • Restart all Tealeaf services
