There is a potential regression in Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4 that could result in a server crash on all platforms except IBM i. See the crash stack below for the exact pattern produced in NSD log. This issue is being tracked under SPR# RSOI9Y7BZW (APAR LO85557). The root cause was the Fix Pack not updating the file 'server' on all Unix platforms and 'nserver.exe' on Windows platforms.

This issue does not impact Notes clients or Notes Browser Plug-in.

A fix for this issue is now available via Interim Fix 1 for Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4. For download links, see technote 1657963.

The same fix was also delivered in a slipstreamed version of Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4. A slipstream is a re-posting of a newer package with no changes to the version number. For download links, see technote 4037141.

Note the following:
-- Customers who download and install Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4 after the slipstream package was posted on July 14th will not be affected.

-- Customers who have already installed the original Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4 should address the issue by installing 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4 Interim Fix 1, which addresses SPR RSOI9Y7BZW. (Note: This Interim Fix also addresses logging issue PLYS9XN26L described in technote #1960516)
