Distributed Report shows exactly 10000 results

Question & Answer

Question

You deploy distributed report and it shows exacly 10000 results in the report. Is distributed reports truncated to 10000 results?

Answer

Yes, distributed report is truncated to 10000 rows max. Starting on version P505, CLI will allow to show and store the maximum allowed amount of returned rows.

G91.ibm.com> show scheduled_distributed
10000 rows

G91.ibm.com> store scheduled_distributed
Usage: store scheduled_distributed <num>
This command helps to regulate the maximum number of rows per unit for scheduled distributed report.
where <num> is the number in range of 0 and 2147483647.
Default is 10000.

The store command should be used very carefully. The large number of returned rows might cause the performance issue, impacting the sniffer process while generating large file.
