Troubleshooting
Problem
When running the 5.2.1 IBM Content Search Services (CSS) installer, an error is thrown when clicking next on the Configuration Data screen.
Symptom
Error message pops up when running the installer:
Wrong program for upgrading Content Search Services
The Content Search Services installation program that you are running is for the IBM FileNet Content Manager product. Click Cancel and run the Content Search Services installation program for IBM Content Foundation instead.
Cause
The license files packed in the CSS 5.2.0 Fix Pack 1 and Fix Pack 2 were from the IBM Content Foundation CSS 5.2.0 base stream. The CSS 5.2.1 installer checks the product ID in the license file to determine whether it is IBM Content Foundation based or IBM FileNet Content Manager based.
Resolving The Problem
Temporary workaround:
- Rename the license folder which is <CSS_INSTALL_DIRECTORY>/license to <CSS_INSTALL_DIRECTORY>/license_old
- Re-run the 5.2.1 CSS installer.
APAR PJ42782 describes the problem and is resolved in 5.2.0.2-P8CSS-IF001 or 5.2.0.2-ICF-CSS-IF001.
