Question

How do you check the valid "from and to" dates for Cognos Business Intelligence certificates in 10.2.2?

Cause

The certificate folder structure has changed in 10.2.2 and as a result the steps to get information on the Cognos certificate expiry dates have changed for this version of Cognos.

Answer

1. launch <Cognos installation location>\bin\jre\7.0\bin\ikeyman.exe
2. Select 'Open' > Select key database type "PKCS12"
3. Navigate to <Cognos installation location>\configuration\certs
4. Choose CAMKeystore
5. Enter the password NoPassWordSet (unless you have configured your own password)
6. Double click on signing and the valid from and to dates should be visible in the window that opens

Note: All certificates are included in this keystore in 10.2.2.
