Notes:
  • 1 IBM Spectrum Scale was formerly known as IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS™). For more information, see IBM Spectrum Scale.
  • 2 Configuration requirements and restrictions apply to the NFS file system when it is used with IBM Spectrum Protect. For more information, see IBM Spectrum Protect server support for NFS.
  • 3 HP JFS on HP-UX is an OEM version of VxFS.
  • 4 The ext4 file system cannot be used for Tivoli Storage Manager Version 6 server databases. This restriction applies to all releases of V6.
  • 5 ReFS can be used only for storage devices that use directory-container storage pools, container-copy storage pools, cloud-container storage pools, or storage pools with FILE or DISK device classes. You cannot use ReFS to store active data, archived data, or database backups.
