How do I use the Infrastructure Security support forums to get information with Network Protection appliances, SiteProtector, and other IBM Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) products?
Answer
IBM Infrastructure Security provides basic support assistance via forums that are hosted on the IBM Support portal page.
The most common tags show in an auto-complete drop-down window as you type. In most cases, we use short acronyms or product model descriptors for the tags. Below is a comprehensive list for all Infrastructure products. If your question relates to more than one product, feel free to include multiple tags.
Since each post requires proper tagging before it will be visible to support engineers, other IBM experts, and other clients, it is very important to tag your questions correctly. When filling out the form to ask a question, you are asked to provide a question, and then additional details. At the bottom is a field to enter tags. This is the important part as this is the keyword that is followed by users and administrators to search for or be notified about your questions. When correctly filled out, it looks something like this:
