Is ITM Log File Agent supported on AIX if this is running on the new Power8 systems ? If yes, which is the minimum version of the agent that can be used ?
Cause
When moving AIX LPAR on a new hardware, most often it is requested to maintain unchanged the applications running on the LPAR to avoid additional effort.
But it in this case it is important to know if the application version running on current hardware is expected to work with no major issues on the new processors
Answer
Log File Agent claimed support for Power 8 processors after having passed certification test
on March 2015.
The certified agent versions are:
Log File Agent V6.3
Log File Agent V6.2.3 FP1
