Problem

This document is a collection of articles on what to do when Scheduled Jobs Exceptions occur in IBM InfoSphere Guardium

Diagnosing The Problem

In the GUI->Guardium Monitor->Scheduled Job Exceptions (v8 and 9) or GUI->Manage->Maintenance->General->Scheduled Job Exceptions (v10) check to see if the Exception Description is similar to any of the following:

  1. java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Array index out of range: 30
  2. Guard Report Generator Error: Table 'AGGREGATOR_ACTIVITY_LOG' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
  3. wait merge flag Could not find value for: '5' in: 'com.guardium.audittasks.AuditResources'
  4. customTableDataUpload_105 trigger:
    customTableJobGroup.customTableDataUpload_105 29 total inserts. Error
    occurred while upload on datasource: <collector/aggregator hostname> :
    Communications link failure due to underlying exception: ** BEGIN
    NESTED EXCEPTION **
  5. Error retrieving list of members. Invalid value for getInt() - 'null'
  6. java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String
  7. aliasIpJob trigger: aliasGenerationJobGroup.aliasIpJob HostName IP Alias creation: An error occured java.lang.RuntimeException: DB retrieval error on SQL: select distinct GDM_EXCEPTION.SOURCE_IP as CLIENT, GDM_EXCEPTION.TARGET_IP as SERVER FROM GDM_EXCEPTION
  8. Merge required, delay executing Process
