IBM Domino LDAP Server Remote Execution Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
IBM Domino could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an error in the LDAP server. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to corrupt memory to execute arbitrary code on the system.

IBM Domino SSLv2 Remote Execution Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
IBM Domino is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. An attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system administrator privileges or cause the server to crash.

DESCRIPTION:
IBM Notes and Domino NSD could allow an authenticated local user without adminstrative privileges to gain System privilege.

    • IBM Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 3 (plus Interim Fixes) and earlier
    • IBM Domino 8.5.3 Fix Pack 6 (plus Interim Fixes) and earlier
    • All 9.0 and 8.5.x releases of IBM Domino prior to those listed above.

Remediation/Fixes

The Domino LDAP server vulnerability is tracked as SPR KLYH9SLRGM and a fix is available on release 9.0.1 FP3 and 8.5.3 FP6. Refer to the following links for downloads:

The Domino SSLv2 vulnerability is fixed on all 8.5.x and 9.0.x releases. All current releases of Domino remove SSLv2 support in favor of SSLv3 and TLS.
