How to determine which agents in the ITM 6 environment are failing to export historical data?
Answer
Using the query "Historical Export Statistics" a custom workspace can be created that will quickly identify the Agents in an ITM 6 environment where historical data exports are failing.
Steps to create the custom workspace
> Login to the TEP client using an TEP login with "Workspace Administration Mode"
> In the Physical view, select the navigator item "Enterprise". This action will display the "Enterprise Status" workspace.
> Delete all panes in the Enterprise Status view, except the "Situation Event Console" view.
> Drag the Table icon to the "Situation Event Console" view.
> A pop-up box will appear with the question "Assign the query now?", choose Yes
> Click the button "Click here to assign query". This action will display the Query Editor
> Navigate to the item "Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server" and expand the item.
> Navigate to the item "ITM Historical Exports" and expand the item.
> Select the query "Historical Export Statistics" and click the OK button
In the Preview pane for the Table all agents collecting historical data will appear.
> To filter the data in the table to only show agents where the data exports are failing, choose the "Filters" tab.
> In the Filters tab scroll to until the column "Last Export Status" appears.
> Under that column create filter using "Value of Expression". Set the value to "Not equal" 0.
> Click the OK button
After viewing the workspace and confirming the information is valid, choose File -> Save Workspace as
