Performance data retention

Question & Answer

Question

How long is performance data retained when collected on a 1 minute interval?

Answer

Performance data (switch or subsystem) collected by TPC on a one minute interval (including threshold violations, etc) is retained in the TPC Database for seven days - this is a hard coded setting to prevent excessive database size.

Five minute summation data is retained according to the "sample" retention setting (configured when defining a performance monitor, or editing one).

There is no way to retain one minute sample interval data for more than seven days.
