How to enable client side tracing to troubleshoot client connectivity issues

Problem

How can you enable ODBC or OLE-DB tracing with a DSN-less connection from tools such as Aginity.

Symptom

When you are using tools, for example Aginity and you experience connectivity issues with possible errors like:

ERROR: Message: ERROR [HYT01] Connection timeout expired

Environment

Any third-party tools connecting to IBM PureData Systems for Analytics

Resolving The Problem

To enable PureData System for Analytics (aka Netezza) driver tracing in Aginity or any other third-party tools with DSN-less connections, in the connection screen add the following after the server address:
for ODBC: <server>;DebugLogging=1;LogPath=C:\
for OLEDB: <server>;Logging Level=3;Log Path=C:\
