Data Sheet Data Populating On A Work Order

Question & Answer

Question

Are there conditions under which a Data Sheet will populate the Data Sheet tab on a Work Order when a Job Plan(with an associated Data Sheet) is on the Work Order?

Cause

If a Job Plan has an associated Data Sheet, and this Job Plan is populated on a Work Order, the Data Sheet does not always populate the Work Order.

Answer

The summary is that the Data Sheet information will only populate on the Work Order if the following conditions exist:

  1. The Job Plan has the Work Order's Asset and Data Sheet combination already associated to it
  2. The Data Sheet has the Work Order's Asset associated to it
  3. The Work Order has the Asset and Job Plan (from Condition #1 populated)

These conditions, and the result are shown below.

The Job Plan has both an Asset populated (CAL101), and a Data Sheet populated (DSLOOP1).

The Data Sheet that is associated to the Job Plan, also has the Asset associated to it.

The Work Order has the Asset and Job Plan associated.

The result is that the Work Order will contain the Data Sheet information.
