Question
How to enable detailed trace for TSAAM in WAS console. It is slightly different for TSAAM version 3.2.2.x with WebSphere 6.1 and TSAAM 4.1.x with WAS 8.5.0.1
Answer
To activate the detailed trace for TSAAM component you have to logon to the WebSphere console first.
The solution describes how to enable the component trace for TSAAM for version 3.2.2.x and 4.1 with WAS 6.1. And 8.5.0.1
TSAAM 3.2.2.x and WebSphere Application Server 6.1
Open WAS console, usually: https://<server name>:9043/ibm/console
On the left expand "Troubleshooting" --> Logs and Traces -->server1 --> Diagnostic Trace
On the middle right: Additional Properties --> Change Log Detail Levels
A list with traceable components will be displayed.
Scroll down to "com.ibm.eez.*"
Left click on this item and a pop-up menu opens. Select "All Messages and Traces"
A filled semicircle is now set for this component group
In the field at the top is added : com.ibm.eez.*=all
The default is "Messages Only"
Click Apply, save the changes and restart WAS
TSAAM 4.1 and WebSphere Application Server 8.5.0.1
Open WAS console, usually: https://<server>:16316/ibm/console/logon.jsp and login
On the left expand "Troubleshooting" --> Logs and Traces
Then select server1 --> Diagnostic Trace
On the middle right: Additional Properties --> Change Log Detail Levels
Click on "Components and Groups" to expand list with traceable components.
Click on the plus sign to expand "* [All Components] "
Scroll down to "com.ibm.eez.*"
Left click on this item and a pop-up menu opens. Select "All Messages and Traces"
A filled semicircle is now set for this component group
In the field above is added : com.ibm.eez.*=all
Click Apply and restart WAS
Because the text field above the components can be edited the trace level can entered directly.
The field should look like
*=info: com.ibm.eez.*=all
to enable full trace for TSAAM components and info trace level for all other components
