Troubleshooting
Problem
When TI is used to import data from BI package using TM1 package connector, one must provide user name and password to connect. When the password or user name is changed, even if login is updated
Symptom
"CognosDimension::BuildDataSource Exception: (TR3117) Unable to
retrieve security objects. Please verify credentials."
Cause
It is not enough to just change the login but signon information needs to be changed as well
Environment
Tm1 connecting to BI with TM1 Package connector
Resolving The Problem
If there are existing TI processes that connect to BI packages, if the user or password for login change.
It is not enough to change just the login but a singon needs to be changed as well.
So when editing the process, after updating the logon details, press the Signon button and modify any signons listed to make sure the credentials used are correct
