Vulnerability Details

CVE-ID: CVE-2014-5191

Preview Plugin for CKEditor is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a specially-crafted URL to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the URL is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

This issue is tracked as SPR# KKIL9N4NXS. The fix was introduced in IBM Domino version 9.0.1 Fix Pack 2 Interim Fix 1. See the technotes linked below for the latest available Fix Packs and Interim Fixes.

To close the vulnerabilities completely, all fixes must be applied. To inquire about the possibility of obtaining an Interim Fix (hotfix) for earlier releases, open a service request with IBM Support.
