IIB MustGather: Problems with Global Cache on UNIXes and Linux

Troubleshooting


Problem

You are experiencing a problem with the global cache feature in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) on UNIXes and Linux.
This MustGather document explains how to generate diagnostic data needed by IBM Support to investigate this issue.

Environment

These instructions are for IBM Integration Bus on AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris systems.

Resolving The Problem

  1. mqsidc
  2. Global Cache details
    Export a current view of your Global Cache with these commands.
    See: mqsicacheadmin command
    • mqsicacheadmin <broker> -c listHosts
    • mqsicacheadmin <broker> -c showMapSizes
    • mqsicacheadmin <broker> -c showPlacement
    • mqsireportproperties <broker> -b cachemanager -o CacheManager -r
    • mqsireportproperties <broker> -e <EG> -o ComIbmCacheManager -r
  3. Global Cache Activity
  4. Traces
    • service level trace of the target Integration Server will capture the global cache processing on the Integration Server.

ATTENTION: A good problem description is one of the most important tools IBM needs to analyze your data!
When sending data to IBM, be sure to update your problem ticket with additional information:

  • Tell us what errors you saw, where you saw them, and what time they happened.
  • Let us know if you made any changes before the problem occurred.
  • Share any other observations which you think will help us to better understand the problem.
