Commuter Check Out-Error while Check-out with errorcode: 5
User launched the Commuter check-out utility and clicked on the statistics version of base software and click on the button "Check Out" and the following error was returned.
"Error while Check-out with errorcode : 5"
The above was in a Windows pop-up message entitled "Commuter Utility".
No existing lservrc file on the license manager.
Resolving the problem
1) Verify there is a valid licensing file (lservrc). If not run the licenseactivator from a command line from the license managers 'WinNT' installation directory. Or you can also run the license authorization wizard (LAW.exe) from the license managers 'WinNT' installation directory.
2) Verify the lservrc file contains an active license for version being checked out.
3) Verify the system environment variable LSERVOPTS in set to have a percentage of the licenses to be commutable on the computer where the license manager is running.
4) Verify in the Sentinel RMS Server Administration that the license in question has commutable licenses available to be checked out.
