Question

Is there a way you can automatically create an Inventory Usage record when you add a storeroom item to a work order?

Answer

Yes, follow the steps below to configure this option:

1. Go To Administration/Organizations application.

2. Bring up your Organization.

3. From the "Select Action" menu, select "Inventory Options / Inventory Defaults".

4. Check the "Automatically create usage documents for new reservations?" option.

5. Save the changes.

6. After configuring, any time a work order is created and there is planned material from a storeroom, when the work order is approved an Inventory Usage record is automatically created.
