Automation Manager ends with Reason Code 64

Diagnosing The Problem

Message HSAM1050E RET=00000FFD (4093) is an LE user abend.

Reason x'90' - X'90' (144) states "Condition management for MVS could not be initialized."

This means that LE is not able to establish communications to the z/OS OMVS environment because OMVS is not initialized to the point that allows communications, which is required for SA manager functionality because it needs elements of OMVS initialized for it to start up and operate successfully.

Review security product logs (TSS audit log - for CA Top Secret) and verify that the task (STC UserId) that starts the Automation Manager, has the required security configuration.

The started task that invokes the Automation Manager (see INGEAMSA in the sample library) must have the following access rights as documented in the System Automation for z/OS 3.4 Planning and Installation publication:

If the automation manager is to be started with option BLOCKOMVS=YES the started task must be defined by RACF as a superuser for UNIX System Services. For more information about BLOCKOMVS refer to Appendix I, "Syntax for HSAPRM00" in topic APPENDIX1.9.
If you are not a superuser, you must have access to the OMVS segment.

Read access for the SYS1.PARMLIB data set.
Write access to the log streams.
Write access to the following data sets:
Trace data sets
The schedule override file
The configuration information file (DDname HSACFGIN)
The takeover file
