How do I locate known issues or open defects logged against QRadar?
Answer
QRadar uses Authorized Program Analysis Reports (APAR) to track issues reported by customers. Customers can search for APARs by using the QRadar Support 101 pages.
- Navigate to the QRadar Master APARs page.
Optional. You can log in to the IBM Support portal to search for APAR information for all IBM products. - Use the version buttons or the Search field to search for a keyword, or click Next to read through the list of APARs.
- Unresolved or known issues can be identified as their status is listed as OPEN. APARs in the OPEN state require users to log in using their IBM ID. Customers can subscribe to notifications on APARs by logging in, selecting an APAR and using the Subscribe function.
The Status field has three states, "Open" and "Closed".- OPEN - Indicates that the issue is under investigation. Customers can subscribe to an APAR to receive an email when the status on an issue changes from Open to Closed.
- CLOSED - APARs that have been resolved in a specific software version are listed as CLOSED. The APAR should specify the QRadar version that contains the resolved issue and a link to the release notes with a software down is provided.
- Transitioning to closed - APARs that are reported for multiple software builds might be identified as 'Transitioning to closed'. This status indicates that an APAR applies to multiple versions and will be CLOSED when all software is released and a link published software versions is listed in the table.
