Installing and configuring the fix for InfoSphere MDM Standard or Advanced edition:

Use the following steps to apply the interim fix:

1. Update the EBA Bundles (Apply to .jar files and CBAs)

For bundles found inside the EBA (these are all the bundles except the virtual MDM API bundles and the third party bundles) you must replace the bundles dynamically inside the EBA. Whether you are updating  InfoSphere MDM or InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub, the process is the same.

Here are the steps:

  1. Log into the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console.
  2. Upload the interim fix bundles:
    1. Navigate to Environment -> OSGi bundle repositories -> Internal bundle repository.
    2. Click New.
    3. Use the file browser to locate the bundles in the temporary interim fix location, such as temp/11.0.0.1-MDM-SAE-FP01IF001/Standard_Advanced, and upload the bundle to the OSGi Internal Bundle Repository.
  3. Replace the current Bundle in the EBA with the new interim fix bundle:
    1. Navigate to Applications -> Application Types -> Assets.
    2. Click on the EBA you intend to patch, such as com.ibm.mdm.hub.server.app-E001_0001.eba.
    3. In the Additional Properties section, click Update bundle versions in this application.
    4. In the list of OSGi bundles comprising this EBA, locate the bundles that you intend to replace and select the latest version from the drop down list.
    5. Click the Preview button, and then click Create.
  4. Update the running bundles:
    1. Navigate to Applications -> Application Types -> Business-level applications.
    2. Click on the EBA asset, such as MDM-operational-server-EBA-E001.
    3. Click on the EBA asset associated with this application, such as com.ibm.mdm.hub.server.app-E001_0001.eba.
    4. In the OSGi application deployment status section, click Update to latest deployment.
2.  This interim fix contains a fix for ESOA restful service.

Backup and replace the three .jar files under  <Engine_Root_Dir>/lib with the ones provided in this fix in temp/ 11.0.0.1-MDM-SAE-FP01IF001/Standard_Advanced/java/lib and lib/sdk.

If you have configured the application to use ESOA restful service, then uninstall the one from the GA version and install the one provided with this fix in temp/11.0.0.1-MDM-SAE-FP01IF001.zip/Standard_Advanced/java/lib/sdk/madappsvcs.ear.

Follow the instructions in the IBM InfoSphere MDM information center:

or in the IBM InfoSphere MDM knowledge center:

3. Installing and configuring the fix for Standard Edition UI components

To update Inspector and WebReports, take the following steps:
  1. Copy the old configuration files in the WebSphere Application Server container for standard UIs:
    • For Inspector: $WAS_HOME/profiles/$PROFILE_NAME/installedapps/$CELLNAME/Inspector.ear/inspector.war/WEB-INF/classes/inspector.properties
    • For WebReport: $WAS_HOME/profiles/$PROFILE_NAME/installedapps/$CELLNAME/webreports.ear/webreports.war/WEB-INF/classes/webreports.properties
  2. Modify the EAR files by taking the following steps:
    1. Download the interim fix zip file and extract the Inspector.zip, Webreport.zip, and Viewer.zip files from 11.0.0.1-MDM-SAE-FP01IF001.zip/UIs/
    2. Package the inspector.properties file copied from the above step into inspector.ear/inspector.war/WEB-INF/classes. For example: with 7zip, open the inspector.ear -> inspector.war ->WEB-INF , then you can create a new folder named “classes”, and drag and drop inspector.properties into this created folder “classes”.
    3. Update the webreports.ear and viewer.ear files by dropping:
      • Webreports.properties into webreport.ear ->webreport.war ->WEB-INF ->classes
      • *.prop into viewer.ear ->viewer.war -> WEB-INF -> classes
  3. Deploy the updated EAR file into WebSphere Application Server container manually by taking the following steps:
    1. Log into the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console and browse to Enterprise Applications.
    2. Select the three existing web applications: Inspector and Webreports, and click Uninstall.
    3. Click Install, select Local file system, specifying the path to the new EAR file to install (for example, /opt/IBM/ifix/inspector.ear), then select the Fast Path installation option, and click Next.
    4. Select Distribute application, ensure that an Application name is specified, and select Create MBeans for resources and click Next.
    5. Map the modules to the server.
    6. Map the virtual hosts for the Web modules.
    7. Click Save directly to master configuration to save.
  4. Repeat step 3 for WebReports

4. Updating the Batch Processor

  1. Backup com.ibm.mdm.batch.framework.jar in <MDM-instance-home>/BatchProcessor/lib.
  2. Copy the .jar file to <MDM-instance-home>/BatchProcessor/lib.
