Problem
DB2Setup wizard stops working on Linux platform
Symptom
After invoking DB2Setup command on Linux platform. The installation wizard seems to work well, but at some point stops working without showing any diagnostic information. A javacore.txt file is generated.
Diagnosing The Problem
The javacore.txt file shows a general protection fault outside the JAVA SDK as the one below:

The db2setup.err file shows an issue with the libdb2ure.so module and entries similar to the ones below:

Resolving The Problem
The tar installation image file shouldn't be extracted on a shared mount, but a local drive instead. If this file will be extracted on a mounted directory, you must verify that all links pertaining to the file are created after the extraction
