Question

What versions of IBM Rational RequisitePro (ReqPro), ClearQuest (CQ) and ClearCase (CC) can be installed on the same machine?

Cause

You receive a message in IBM Installation Manager saying:

"Installing IBM Rational RequisitePro <version> is not allowed, it is not compatible with the other packages"

Answer

The compatibility matrix for ReqPro, CQ & CC is:

ReqPro 7.1.1.x = CQ & CC 7.1.1.x
ReqPro 7.1.2.x = CQ & CC 7.1.2.x
ReqPro 7.1.3.x = CQ & CC 8.0.0.x
ReqPro 7.1.4.x = CQ & CC 8.0.1.x

NOTE: "x" is the same number.

For example, installing ReqPro 7.1.3.1 on the same machine with CQ 8.0.0.1 is allowed but if you attempt to install ReqPro 7.1.4.1 on the same machine that already has CQ 8.0.1.4, you will receive the error above since 7.1.4.4 is required.

Please note that ReqPro 7.1.4.11 is the last version of ReqPro that was released prior to it reaching end of support status. Therefore, if you have to upgrade CC and/or CQ to 8.0.1.12 and later, you will receive the compatibility message since there's no corresponding ReqPro release for those versions.

Also, there are NO compatible versions of ReqPro that can be installed on machines with CC and/or CQ 9.x.
