IBM Support

CTGIN9097E when installing middleware on Linux servers.

Troubleshooting

Problem

CTGIN9097E: On all supported SLES operating systems, the libstdc++33-32bit package is required. On all supported RHEL operating systems, the 32-bit compatibility packs libgcc-3.4.3-9 and compat-libstdc++-33 are required.

Symptom

Unable to Install Maximo and SCCD Middleware using the MWI Installer on SLES and Red Hat operating systems.

Cause

This occurs due to missing software packages on the Linux environment. This error is seen on SUSE and Red Hat Linux servers, as the packages required are 32 bit and are needed even if running on a 64 bit Linux platform.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve these problems download and install the required t packages.

1. For Red Hat Linux, install the following 32 bit packages using YUM

  • libgcc-3.4.3-9
  • compat-libstdc++-33

2. For SUSE Linux install the following package with Yast2 Online Update

  • libstdc++33
